 Mayrhofen Jan 06 Minimize

The January Mayrhofen trip has now past and gone. Some good boarding from the guys, especially the newbies. Danny did some rails, Paul M caught some air.

The more advanced boarders and skier progressed to jumps which was pretty damn cool.

Who went: The Usual Suspects

Highlights included:

  • Danny running into a glass wall in Munich Airport
  • Alain Fung spilling Diesel over Paul Marshall's jeans
  • Danny spilling Red Wine over Paul Marshall's spare jeans
  • Danny pushing Paul Marshall into a group of Skiers
  • Meeting Mark's sis on the flight home
  • Rob, Gary and Mark doing jumps and riding rails in the Funpark
    See Burton Funpark
  • Paul Marshall linking turns
  • Danny carving and riding rails
  • Lots of nice food and wine

Question is... when can we get away again?

 Burton Bluetooth Jacket

Burton and Motorola have teamed up to create a Bluetooth enabled snowboard jacket.

The Audex Jacket. Targeting snowboarders who want to listen to music or take calls while on the slopes, the jacket integrates a set of controls in its left-hand sleeve which connect to a set of speakers and a microphone concealed in the hood.

Equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, the sleeve controls are capable of relaying calls to said speakers and microphone wirelessly courtesy of its support for the Handsfree and Headset profiles. Listening to music, howeer, relies on an old-fashioned 3.5 mm earphone jack to connect devices such as an Apple iPod nano or Motorola's own, iTunes-enabled RAZR V3i.

See it on Burton's website
